For Kilimanjaro we send climbers to WHOA Travel, a women-run company that leads several all-women climbs on the mountain each year.
Their trips go up the Machame Route to Uhuru Peak, 5,895 meters (19,341 ft), at a pace set for acclimatization. You don’t need mountaineering skills. You do need to be fit and ready for long days at altitude.
WHOA handles dates, booking and the trip itself. If you’re weighing Kilimanjaro against one of our climbs as a next step, ask us and we’ll tell you what we think.
